Joe, Julie, Derek, John, John and Joey came down from homestead on their 2nd annual mahi fishing bonanza on the KAY K IV.
The tunas bit well at the islamorada hump but after catching 6 blackfins and a yellowfin the sharks showed up and started eating everything we hooked up. Leaving the hump to the sharks we ventured out to a weed line a few miles to the south at about the 16 mile marker and started catching mahi. There wasn't a lot of fish but we ended up finding 3 nice schools with a few teenagers in the mix. Julie caught the biggest of course, besting Joe by a few ounces.
A good time was had by all and they are planning their return for next year.
