8/26/2022 0 Comments Slowed DownThe fishing is still good but we are getting fewer calls for charters as the kids go back to school and summer comes to an end. The tunas bit well again for Dave today and he found a couple legal mahi along with a bunch of small ones.

8/21/2022 0 Comments Tuna TangoA little more wind yesterday for Eric's group but they are all seasoned sailors and it wasn't a problem for them. It was a pick of tunas and it took a big part of the morning to catch our limit but we finally had what we needed. Caught one mahi on the way home and that was our catch for the short day.
8/19/2022 0 Comments Nice SnapperDave started with the tunas which continue to bite well and then went looking for the elusive mahi mahi. No mahi were found so Dave came back to the reef , tried a few deeper spots but ended up at Davis reef where they caught a number of fat yellowtail snapper. Cory and his bud had a great time and are planning another trip for October.
8/18/2022 0 Comments Bill Celebrates His 63rdToday is Bill's 63rd birthday and he took his lady out for a day of fishing to celebrate. Captain Dave (back from vacation) took the couple out to look for the mahi and tuna on another beautiful day in the Florida Keys.
Bill is another of our regulars that call periodically and book a trip once or twice a yea., We are so fortunately to have so many good folks that return year after year. Thank you all, happy birthday Bill! 8/17/2022 0 Comments Timing Is EverythingTiming is everything it is said, unfortunately testing positive for covid two days after Dave left for vacation last week was not good timing for our business. I ended up giving all my bookings away as Pati and I suffered through quite a few days feeling really lousy, but survive we did and today finally, I had my first day back on the water with James and his buds
The James gang had to wind hard but did well considering, losing only 3 blackfins to the man eaters at the hump. We looked around for the mahi but not finding any we did some deep dropping , catching a few vermillons, jacks and one really nice red snapper. Beautiful weather and I appreciated being able to enjoy it. 8/5/2022 0 Comments ActiveThe blackfin and skipjack tunas are biting well out around the Islamorada hump and the Vermillon snappers bit in the shallow water. Brandon, Mayra and their friends were looking for fish to put in the freezer and they got all they needed today. Brandon told me he had found his boat and would be back, that's exactly what we want to hear from our customers, especially the new ones.
Melissa called me and wanted to fish but she was looking for someone to share the cost for a longer day. Andy and his son Alex called me that same day looking for a split and therefore it all came together quickly.
Andy and Alex are from the UK and it's great to have our friends from overseas showing up again. Dave and Mitch did well with the tunas and vermillon snapper and so their was plenty for dinners and plenty for Melissa to take back to Lauderdale 8/2/2022 0 Comments MikeDave and Mitch took Mike and his lady out to catch some fish and they did well once again. A couple tunas at the hump, as well as a few mahi and then back to the shallow water where the vermillons bit better then they did yesterday. They also caught a large margate (another good eater).
8/1/2022 0 Comments Chris and MitchWe did a short trip yesterday with Dave, Mitch and my neighbor Chris. Caught some almaco jacks and some nice vermillons for Dave to take with him when he heads north next week to visit his daughter and granddaughter.
