                                          KAY K IV

The Boat To  Fish  in  Islamamorada Florida

Picture

Islamorada is known worldwide as the "Sport Fishing Capital of the World". The crystal clear waters surrounding the Florida Keys and the close proximity of the Gulf Stream ensure that these waters are always teaming with sport fish.

In the summer months it's mahi fishing and the KAY K IV catches a lot of them. Check out the pictures on the site to see just a very few of our many catches this winter and fall. Blackfin tuna, wahoos, marlin and many others species of fish can also be caught during these months.  Have a need to catch a really big fish? Summer and fall are also great times to try for that monster swordfish. Check out our 450lb broadbill on this site

In winter months the reefs and shallow waters around Islamorada become home to large numbers of sailfish . While this member of the bill fish family lacks the size of it's big cousin the marlin it makes up for it's smaller size thru high flying aerial displays and line smoking runs. Kite fishing, slow live bait trolling and sight fishing sails are the primary methods for catching sails and Captain Don and his crew have years of experience finding and catching them.

Love to eat fish and want you want to target the snapper and grouper.  The KAY K crew loves catching mutton snapper and they are very good at it. Yellowtail, grouper, vemillon snapper, yelloweyed snapper, etc, the list of good eating fish goes on and on. The number of different species you can catch in a day out on the blue waters off Islamorada is amazing. Patch fishing, wreak
fishing, deep dropping, trolling the reef or trolling deep, it all depends on what you want to try and the fish you want to catch.

We love taking out families. Bring the kids and will teach them the love of fishing

Kay K IV isn't just any charter boat. Built in 2002 by Henriques Yachts and 40 ft overall in length , she is more than just clean and comfortable. Her air-conditioned salon is a great place to cool off from the hot fishing and if they prefer, your wife/GF or kids can take a break and watch the action through the large windows from the comfort of the main salon.

We have the experience and knowledge to make your fishing trip truly memorable.
