Mary Sue and Steve had it all planned out to do a Christmas card with fish they caught today on the KK and a couple of fat yelloweye snapper fit the bill perfectly. We caught a few yellowtail this morning but like yesterday it was ta bunch of vermllion and yelloweye snapper that made the day.

Haven't fish Tony, his son and friends in a couple years and it was good to be fishing with them again on the KK.
We tried yellowtailing but the wind was into the current so I went to plan "B" and caught a nice red grouper, missed a few big bites and had a nice fish get eaten by a shark, so it was on to plan "C". Plan "C" worked out well as the big vermillon snapper were biting, along with the yelloweye snapper. We also caught 4 big red snapper but they know the season closed last weekend and are now coming out of hiding. Oh well. Took Dave's and my wife out fishing today as it was the last day of this weekend that the red snapper were open. Never caught a red but the big yelloweyes were biting as good as I've seen in a while, so caught what we needed and came home. Nice going ladies!!
Not a whole lot of English spoken by our four guests today but that didn't stop us from putting together a nice catch of kings, yellowtail and this 14 lb mutton snapper on an afternoon half day.
