Dave and i have been doing a lot of painting at my home, Pati and Lisa have also been working hard all week so today we decided it was time to take a break. We grabbed our wives and headed to the reef and although we started slow, by 10;30 we were cranking them in and by 1100 we had our limit. We even had a few mahi come through our chum slick and Dave got a bait out there fast enough to catch one as it passed by. Air fried yellowtail fillets tonight for dinner, doesn't get much better.
A need to get off the land and a beautiful day to do so lead us out to the reef today. The first place we tried was OK but it was a slow bite that got a little too slow for my patience and we moved on to Davis reef were there was better current and more sharks.
Dave was high angler today catching the majority of the fish, it's not often he beats up on me but he definitely had the hot rod today. Pati came along for moral support and Dr John was the second best angler out there with us today. Nice big fat yellowtail on light tackle, what FUN!!
