Lots of complaints from other charter boats about the huge schools of small mahi around and there not being enough of the legal size ones to catch. We were fortunate in that we found a decent school early, caught a dozen and found a second school later to add another 4 or 5.
The hump was good to us again, we caught the vermillon and blackfin snappers along with a couple almaco jacks and a scamp grouper.
Jim and his family have had a lot of bad luck over the years with fishing and we were happy to finally turn things around for them.
This is Captain Dave keeping you updated on our recent fishing adventures
