6/7/2020 0 Comments Bumpy To StartI talked Jim, Daniel and Justin out of going on Saturday because the predictors of such things said the winds would be less today then on Saturday and I was still open for today, Sunday. The predictors were right about the wind but the the waves were still substantial as we headed out to the mahi grounds and it took most of the morning for the wind and the waves to calm down.
Of the three, Justin took it the worse and although he was able to stand and catch a couple fish he pretty much left the heavy work up to Jim and Daniel. The mahi were shallow again and we caught almost all thirty of them in less then 500 ft of water. I did get some reports of fish out in 1100 to 1500 ft of water but it didn't sound good enough to pull me out there. The guys want to come back this winter to catch sailfish and we are looking forward to seeing them again. Be safe and we will see you in December !
