6/4/2017 0 Comments Stormy Weather A bit rainy today with a lot of cloud cover made it difficult for us to see the fish and the birds didn't seem to stay on the fish very well either. We caught nine mahi, a blackfin tuna, a skipjack tuna and then with more rain threatening we decided to go back to the reef where we caught 15 yellowtail to finish up the day.
This is the second year for Spencer and his group and we will be looking forward to fishing with them again next year.

6/3/2017 0 Comments Mahi Are Still Here Last year the mahi would show for a day and then disappear for a while but this week has been consistently good.
We had both the Growers and Irrigation folks in town for their annual tournament and we found some nice fish for the guys. Thanks Spencer, see you next year. 6/1/2017 0 Comments Winging ItHenry and Patrick Wing were on board again today with their mom and a couple of their friends. Better results than last time even though it was a little rougher and there was a couple of times during the day that I thought we might have to come in early. We stayed in close avoiding the higher waves farther out and caught a dozen or so mahi, then went into the reef where we caught about the same number of yellowtail snapper.
The Coast Guard was nice enough to stop us as we were coming back to the reef and made sure all my safety equipment and paperwork was in good order (it was!). The kids thought it was really neat having them stop us. |
